¡BIENVENIDOS! WELCOME!

Pueblo On The Mimbres Bed and Breakfast is an adobe style home located in Southwestern New Mexico bordering the Gila National Forest in the heart of the Mimbres Valley. The Mimbres River flows through our 13 acres and we are nestled by the mountain ranges of the Gila Wilderness’ Black Range and the Aldo Leopold Range.

These are lands inhabited a little more than a century ago by the Chiricahua Apache, Mimbres and Mogollon tribes. This is an area rich in history, tradition and natural wonders. There are unlimited opportunities to explore your interests–and to discover new ones.

We welcome you as our guest and offer a Southwest experience of comfort and relaxation. The Pueblo is uniquely designed to invoke the heritage and essence of our surroundings. Our cuartos, rooms, are furnished with traditional artwork, antiques and artifacts from the area. Your cozy retreat will serve as your home away from home–and we are here to help make your stay one of comfort and hospitality.

Adventure on foot, bike or horseback. Follow a trail or do some trailblazing all your own. However you choose to explore, you will never have the same experience twice.

Outside of your door is access to the Gila National Forest, 3.3 million acres of wilderness heaven. Pinon, ponderosa and juniper pine trees adorn the natural landscape. Hundreds of species of birds migrate through this area. Mule deer, elk and javelina make their home here, as does the black bear and mountain lion.

Nearby attractions and historic sites offer a myriad of experiences for you to enjoy. It’s all just a matter of your preference and selection as to how you wish to spend your days.

Recreation or reconnection–you create your own experience at The Pueblo.

Pueblo On The Mimbres is situated in the midst of the Trail Of The Mountain Spirits making it an ideal place to reconnect with your own spirit and experience what made the Native Americans so passionate about their land and culture.

You will find secluded spots around the property for relaxing with your thoughts, a good book or someone special. During hummingbird season, claim your spot at one of our many feeders placed throughout the property and take some spectacular pictures. In the evening, claim your space near one of the outdoor fire rings, curl up and warm away your days’ experiences–or fire up the grill for some personal cookout time.

A New Mexico sunset is truly something special to behold. When the sun is down and night settles in, the Milky Way provides a spectacular evening’s entertainment with an occasional shooting star for special effects. Retreat to your private cuarto afterwards to release the day and recharge your spirit for your next adventure.

The Gila National Forest rises above the valley and is our permanent vista – twenty-four hours a day. The breathtaking majesty of the forest is available for you to explore and discover.

The Sunflower, Helianthus annuus, is one of many wildflowers which create a spectacular desert tapestry when summer rains pass through the region. Horticulture enthusiasts – and hikers – will discover a bounty of fauna native to the Southwest.

Our most famous local attraction, The Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, offers a glimpse into the homes and lives of Native Americans who lived here from the late 1270s through the early 1300s.

Our home is a gateway to the Gila Wilderness Area and Gila National Forest, 3.3 million acres of publicly owned forest, accessible only by foot or horseback. You will find it easy to lose yourself for hours at a time in the midst of this natural serenity.
