Venturing outside of The Pueblo, your day can include visiting nearby natural landmarks such as the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Park, the Catwalk of Whitewater Canyon Trail, The City of Rocks State Park and the Ghost Towns in Mogollon. Surrounding the Pueblo are the beautiful mountains of the Black Range, the Aldo Leopold Wilderness and the Gila National Forest – perfect for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
Lake Roberts is located 14 Miles north of us and Bear Canyon Lake is a few miles south of us for fishing and hunting. Faywood Hot Springs is a geothermal oasis formed from volcanic forces millions of years ago, this is truly a phenomenon of natural healing. The original bathhouse dates back to 1860, but ancient peoples, international explorers, soldiers and westward homesteaders have been guests to these healing waters.

Historic downtown Silver City truly has a hometown feel, eclectic downtown shopping district featuring local artisans, great restaurants , sculptural and fine art galleries. The Historic Gold Mining Town of Pinos Altos is 6 miles north of Silver City. Much of the downtown has undergone restoration, back to the era of 49’ers and gold fever.
